The Members AGM on March 7th was well attended despite the recent poor weather.
Walter Phillips, President, chaired the meeting and opened proceedings by remembering those who sadly passed away during the last year. A respectful silence was observed.
Retiring Captain Frank Ball thanked all who had helped him during the year especially the ladies section and his wife Val. He was very pleased to report that the Captains (Mens and Ladies) Charity raised over £3000 for the Alzheimer's Society. Jack Maidment retiring Senior Captain also praised his members for raising a similar amount for a children's life support machine at Neville Hall Hospital.
Jackie Court retiring ladies captain thanked her hardworking committee and also wished to be associated with The Captains Charity.
Tom Irving Hon Treasurer reported on a healthy balance.
All captains thanked the green staff catering staff and Club Professional Chris Murphy for outstanding service during the year.
Nigel Price Managing Director echoed those thanks in his very positive report on Raglan Parc Golf Club reflecting on a very successful year. He also informed members of a busy two years ahead as 19/20 will be the clubs 25th anniversary. The forthcoming season will be the 25th anniversary of work starting on the front 9 and a Pro Am on 3rd August will be part of the celebrations.
